started as a synth/ambient project by sole member Ynleborgaz in 1997,
Angantyr quickly changed its style to raw, classic Scandinavian Black
Metal in 1998 and has remained true to its roots throughout the
project’s entire history.
With each new release, Ynleborgaz was able to strengthen the position
of Angantyr as one of Denmark’s leading Black Metal acts, with numerous
dedicated followers around the world.
Now, two decades after the project’s first release, Angantyr’s 6th
album delivers just what fans expect and have grown to love throughout
the project’s entire existence – raw, hymnic northern Black Metal that
possesses all trademarks of Angantyr’s unique style.
With the help of session members Angantyr has been playing lots of
successful live shows at various festivals and in clubs in the past,
and during the coming tour the band will play their 100th gig.

potential shown in those early albums has really come to fruition here,
20 years of experience and a considerable amount of talent, not to
mention a huge improvement in the production department makes Ulykke an
incredibly strong album and a first-rate example of how traditional
black metal should sound and still be relevant in today’s era. [...] In
